M2: Discuss the issues and risks involved in producing the planned promo
When it comes to making the documentary, I will be needing to interview some members of the cast and/or crew, before this I will have to get them to sign a consent form, in order for them to give me permission to use the footage in the documentary and for them to not have any problem with their faces showing in the documentary. This will then cause no problems when they see themselves being shown somewhere, because they will know that they agreed to this. This is an important regulatory process because if you don't get them to sign it and they see their face being shown and they aren't comfortable with it, you can get into serious trouble.
After filming the interviews, I will then need to start editing, when editing I made the decision that I would want some background music, to flow with the interview and the shots from the film that I will be using. Before I find the correct, suitable music, I will need to make sure it is copyright free and/or get the owners permission to use it, because it is against the law to use someones work without it being copyrighted or asked for their permission as it is that individual that has produced it and not me. In the end of the documentary, if the music is copyright free, I will add where I got the music from in the credits.
This documentary will be shown either in the East London Film Festival and/or their website, the target audience for 'The Boggart' is aimed at individuals between the ages of 16-19. However, as this is a documentary, I think that it would be aimed at anyone interested in film making because the documentary I am making, will show the process of making the film, the casts opinions, writers information and just show what it is like to be or make a film and their opinions while making it. This will hopefully give an insight to the individuals interested in film making to see what it is like and hopefully make them more interested in this sector.
