M2 - First Draft

Omniya Tajni M2: Discuss the issues and risks involved in producing the planned promo When it comes to making the documentary, I will be needing to interview some members of the cast and/or crew, before this I will have to get them to sign a consent form, in order for them to give me permission to use the footage in the documentary and for them to not have any problem with their faces showing in the documentary. This will then cause no problems when they see themselves being shown somewhere, because they will know that they agreed to this. This is an important regulatory process because if you don't get them to sign it and they see their face being shown and they aren't comfortable with it, you can get into serious trouble.  After filming the interviews, I will then need to start editing, when editing I made the decision that I would want some background music, to flow with the interview and the shots from the film that I will be using. Before I find the correc...

Omniya Tajni P3: Produce Pre-Production Materials Consent Form Before we even filmed the content of the film 'The Boggart' , we needed consent from the 3 main actors. Here is the evidence for this: Call Sheet Due to the fact I am making a documentary to show the making of the film 'The Boggart' and I will be interviewing different members of the cast & crew, I will be needing to make call sheets so I can see the plan I have for the production of this documentary and to see who I will need to interview, on what day and on what time. I made 3 different call sheets for 3 different days of the interview.  Location Recce Before filming in the locations you intend to, a location recce must be carried out in order to find the advantages and disadvantages and with this information, you are able to see whether or not it is useful to film there. Here is the location recce we made before going out to film, ' The Boggart': ...

Omniya Tajni P2: Create concept documentation or designs Mind Map The audio-visual promo I decided to create was a documentary. The reason why I chose to do this was because, not only will I be showing footage of the film, but the audience would be able to hear members of the crew & cast talk about the making of the film , how they felt the experience was and how they feel to be apart of this experience.  Here I made a mind map, this shows the content that I want to include in my documentary: Mood Board This is the mood board I have created for my documentary, it includes the shots I might include from the film, the way I want the interviewee to be positioned and the colours that will be mainly shown through out the documentary.  http://oceanmediainstitute.org/metcalf - guy sitting down talking http:// www.amfastech.com/2016/06/simple-fix-final-cut-pro-quit-unexpectedly.html - final cut pro https:// www.theverge.com...

Omniya Tajni P1: Explain the structure of identified audio-visual promos for different purposes Film Trailer A film trailer is a advertisement for a feature film that will be shown in the future at the cinema.  Film trailers consist of series of selected shots from the film being advertised , in order for them to attract the audience they usually add in the most exciting , funny and interesting bits without producing any spoilers. However some films use 'special shoot' these are are material that have been created specifically for the advertising purposes and sometimes are not presented in the actual film.  Mission Impossible: Fallout  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XiHiW4N7-bo BBFC has rated this film as 12A and due to the fact that it is the 6th sequel film, it is expected to be very popular, so this film trailer would most likely keep the viewers very impatient and at the edge of the seat, waiting for the release date. Usually the struct...

Omniya Tajni M1: Analyse the different approaches used in the identified promos D1: Compare and contrast the messaging within these identified promos  Conventions 1. Film Trailer Mission Impossible: Fallout  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XiHiW4N7-bo This is a trailer for an action/adventure film, so when the audience is watching it, there are a set of expectations an audience will have. The conventions are: Modern city buildings, Elements of Good Vs. Evil, Guns, Fight Scenes, High Tech Equipment. Here I have analysed two action film trailers.  In the trailer, Mission Impossible includes some modern city locations they are filming in. These cities are usually filmed in as it the most popular and audiences will be able to have familiarity and identify the locations and are filmed with wide, high angle shots to show the whole city. When watching action films, the audience would expect there to be elements of good vs. evil & physi...
